Description
Sometime in 2018, Rocky Patel introduced the Rocky Patel Grand Reserve line of cigars to markets everywhere outside of the United States as a way to honor their worldwide business partnerships that have seen dramatic growth within the last 10 years. Upon release, Rocky kept most of the blend shrouded in secrecy and only releasing that the tobaccos used in the blend are aged two years. The initial release was limited to just three countries, and has since experienced a larger international release that was met with an equally high success rate.
Not one to snub his United States partnerships, Rocky has recently opened up this international gem to be sold on the US market along side his other lines and in doing so, shared a little bit more information about the blend. Rolled in Honduras, the Rocky Patel Grand Reserve uses a mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos enclosed inside of an Ecuador wrapper to produce a medium-bodied masterpiece created for all premium-cigar lovers worldwide. This “international tastes” blended profile is filled with savory notes of leather, espresso beans, earth, nut and subtle spice.
The Rocky Patel Grand Reserve was originally soft-launched in April 2018 at a private three-day event known as Mountain on Fire. Held in Sölden, Austria, this event is described as a three-day luxury experience with 120 guests in attendance, including company president Rocky Patel. 300 boxes of the Grand Reserve were brought to the event and sold out. As a result, the decision was made to formally launch it. The official launch of the Rocky Patel Grand Reserve took place at InterTabac 2018.
